by Kid Carpet I don’t believe fashion you get from the shops Don’t believe robbers, i think it’s the cops coz they’ve been telling porkies, telling me lies I can’t believe that’s a burger. It’s chips not fries And i don’t believe that politics ain’t totally rigged Can’t believe the price of a packet of cigs Or that your mum knows everything in the world Boys are not always stronger than girls You can say what you think that is true I can’t see the point of us going to space if we can’t even sort out our own dirty place I don’t believe in gravity when i’m flying about Don’t believe i’ll listen, not even if you shout And i don’t believe in miracles except mirror shades Don’t believe school’s about getting the grades And i don’t believe in always doing what you’re told or that me and Michael Jackson will ever grow old You can say what you think that is true But excuse me coz i don’t believe I don’t think that i do I don’t believe. Don’t believe you I can’t believe your effort won the first prize when everything i did was better by miles I don’t believe in Tipp-Exx or lager and lime I don’t believe in dentists. Not after last time I don’t believe your dad got scratched by a werewolf and he’s got some silver bullets, he’s gonna go back and shoot them I don’t believe the people who talk on TV I don’t believe anyone’s actually free You can say what you think that is true I’m really sorry (Check out Kid Carpet's latest work, CASIO ROYALE , or find him on MySpace, among other places...)
